East Midlands Development Agency is a government sponsored public body. It is one of nine English Regional Development Agencies set up by government in April
1999 to develop the regions.Our business-led board works as a team for the benefit of the region as a whole.

Our work is wide ranging and includes:

	Spearheading the region's economic development strategy
	Increasing business competitiveness
	Developing the skills base
	Attracting inward investment
	Community regeneration
	Regenerating land and buildings.
